Last Meeting 24/06/2014 (Review)

In the meeting that was held on the 24th of June 2014 the Youth council talk about the positive and negative on the Quiz night. People said that the quiz was run quiet well. Also the food was great and most players of the quiz thought it was great. We hope to hold the quiz again and it should be great next time. We also found that Harry Potter question was good and also we would probably need some music questions.  We also in the meeting talk about the final details of the Beggars Fair. We also talked about the raffle prizes. We also had a Visitor called Sarah Jane and she came to talk about the teenagers Market.

Review of Meeting

On Tuesday the Youth Council met for another eventful meeting. We first discussed the events that are coming up for example the Beggars fair and the quiz night. One member of the group then updated everyone on how the questionnaire is coming along. This was very insightful as we now are nearing the stage of dispatching the questionnaires to the local schools. Finally on the agenda we spoke about the upcoming meeting that will be our AGM. This will be held on the 22nd of April at Youth in Romsey.

New Team & 2013

New Team. Join Us

It’s been a while since we’ve had much activity as a Youth Council, however, this is about to change. Today we had a meetup with a group of young people interested in joining and making Romsey the place it should be for Young People.

From this we’ve set a date for our next meeting: Tuesday 19th March, 18:00-19:30 @ Youth in Romsey. The meeting is open to anyone who’s interested in joining. For the near future we will be concentrating on the Beggars Fair Youth Festival. But we have other projects starting and if you have something you want additional support for, come along and tell us!

Beggars Fair 2013 Youth Stage

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been asked (a lot), what’s happening with the Beggars Fair stage? Can band/artists apply to play yet? among others.

We are planning to go ahead once again this year and will open for applications from bands/artists in a few weeks. If you’d like to get involved with the organisation and running of the event, we’d love to hear from you!

If you have any further questions please [contact us]. We’re a friendly bunch, promise!

Beggars Fair Youth Stage 2012. We Did It!

We’ve left it a bit late but anyway we’d like to thank everyone who supported us on the day, the bands, RYC team, Gordon Clarke and everyone that turned up!

We have uploaded some pictures that we got on the day to our gallery.

Hopefully we will be able to get support for running the event in 2012 due to there being a lot of time and effort put in even before the day we are always looking for new members and of course financial support to put these sort of events together. If you are interested in joining us or just fancy a chat to see what it’s all about drop us an email to contact@ryc.org.uk.
